Days after the daughter of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, Suranya Aiyar, said she would stand against the Ram Mandir consecration, the resident’s welfare association in Delhi’s Jangpura Extension has written to her and her father, seeking an apology for “creating tension and hatred”. While Mani Shankar Aiyar could not be reached for comment, Suranya said she does not live in the house in Jangpura. The house is owned by Mani Shankar Aiyar, as per his affidavit submitted to the Election Commission of India.

An FIR has been registered against Enforcement Directorate officials under provisions of the SC/ST Act based on a complaint by  Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren , who has accused the central officials of “tarnishing his image”. In his complaint, Soren has claimed that his image has been maligned by the ED officials who reached his  Delhi  residence without any prior information and propagated false news, SSP Ranchi Chandan Sinha said.
