  Mohit Suri to helm Yash Raj Films’ romantic drama Mohit Suri and Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films have joined hands for a love story, set to go on floors this year. Filmmaker  Mohit Suri , who has films such as Murder 2, Aashiqui 2 and Ek Tha Villain to his credit, will direct another romantic drama in collaboration with Yash Raj Films. Being tagged as a ‘young love story’, the movie will be the maiden production venture of YRF’s CEO Akshaye Widhani. A senior trade source said, “Aditya Chopra, who is the creative force at YRF, is empowering Akshaye Widhani and his leadership team to build creative partnerships with the most brilliant minds in the Hindi film industry. Adi’s protege Akshaye Widhani, will run this arm of business and will produce his first film.”

The podcast features her mother Shweta Bachchan and grandmother Jaya Bachchan. The premiere of  Navya Naveli Nanda’s  podcast What The Hell Navya Season 2 featuring her mother Shweta Bachchan and grandmother Jaya Bachchan, is scheduled for Thursday. Ahead of its release, Navya has shared a promo of the show. Unlike the previous season, this edition of the podcast will have a video format and will be available on Navya’s YouTube channel. In the promotional clip, Navya is seen having an unfiltered conversation with Jaya and Shweta. She talks about the importance of women being financially independent. This prompts a question from Jaya, who asks her, “What do you want to do?” Navya responds by saying that that’s a “deep question”.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections jumped 10.4 per cent to over Rs 1.72 lakh crore in January, the finance ministry said on Wednesday. This is the second-highest monthly collection ever and marks the third month in this financial year with a collection of Rs 1.70 lakh crore or more. “The gross GST revenue collected in the month of January 2024 (till 05:00 PM of 31.01.2024) is Rs 1,72,129 crore, which shows a 10.4 per cent y-o-y growth over the revenue of Rs 1,55,922 crore collected in January 2023 (till 05:00 PM on 31.01.2023),” the ministry said. IRS officer, who demanded dismissal of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, suspended The IRS officer had written to President Droupadi Murmu earlier in January seeking the dismissal of Nirmala Sitharaman. Two days before he was set to retire, Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer B Balamurugan from Tamil Nadu, who had demanded the dismissal of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over an ED case, was suspended by the Union Ministry of Finance on Monday. As per reports, Balamurugan was scheduled to retire on Wednesday.
