NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday came down heavily on the Punjab government amid 'very poor' air quality in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and said that farmers can't be made villains. The court was hearing a batch of petitions related to toxic air in the national capital. Stating that Punjab government’s report suggests that 8,481 meetings have been held with farmers and farm leaders to convince them not to burn paddy straws by SHOs, the apex court observed, "Farmers are being made a villain, and they are not being heard here in the court.   UP Cop Who Recently Became Mother Found Dead At In-Laws' House In Bulandshahr UP police was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her in-laws' house in Siyana area of Bulandshahr, said police on Monday. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Chanchal, who was married to a police constable Kuldeep Kumar in 2022. Both were posted in Pilibhit. She had recently given birth to a baby boy and was on maternal leave. On Monday morning, she was found hanging with the ceiling fan at her in-laws house. Her family has alleged that she has been killed and her body hanged to ceiling fan to make it look like suicide. Circle Officer, Siyana, Bhaskar Kumar Mishra said that based on the complaint, a case has been registered against three accused -- husband Kuldeep, father-in-law Jasvir Singh, and mother-in-law Gajendri Devi. “The body has been sent for postmortem.
