Former US President Donald Trump launched a fresh attack on his Republican rival Ron DeSantis, mocking the Florida Governor as a 'wounded falling bird', as he addressed a GOP event in Florida on Saturday.



Trump, who has been dominating the Republican presidential race, addressing the Florida GOP Freedom Summit, referred to the Florida Governor as a "wounded falling bird from the sky," suggesting that DeSantis' political career was on a downward trajectory. The event marked yet another episode in the growing rivalry between the two political figures, who were once allies.

The decision comes after the  Colorado Supreme Court last week  disqualified Trump from appearing on that state's ballots in 2024. In a shot in the arm for the ruling BJP, the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA)’s pro-talks faction on Friday signed a tripartite Memorandum of Settlement with the Centre and the Assam government in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.   The ULFA pro-talks faction was represented by a 16-member delegation led by its chairperson Arabinda Rajkhowa.
