A slower bouncer from T Natarajan missed the grill of Dhruv Jurel's helmet and hit him right on the throat.

Dhruv Jurel was hit on the throat by a delivery from T Natarajan during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) Qualifier 2 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday.

The incident happened on the first ball of the 18th over as Natarajan bowled slower bouncer. Jurel went for the pull but was early on the shot and missed it completely as ball snuck under his helmet’s grill and caught him right on the throat

It looked painful as Jurel went down on the ground immidately. The physio rushed out onto the middle to have a look as Jurel was back up on his feet in not time.

Jurel bounced back and managed to reach his fifty in 26 deliveries and remained not out for 56 but could see his team through to the final.
